You can report any Hate Incident or Hate Crime to Police Scotland by attending at any Police Office, by calling 101 or in an emergency by calling 999.

There are four mains ways to report a Hate Incident or Hate Crime:

  1. Directly to the Police
  2. By Third Party Reporting
  3. By completion of a Hate Incident Monitoring Form
  4. By going to the Police Scotland Website www.scotland.police.uk

Reporting to Police

You can report any Hate incident or Hate Crime to Police Scotland by attending at any Police Office or by calling 101.

Third Party Reporting

If you are unable to attend at a police office or are concerned about making contact with the police, you can make a Third Party Report.

If you do not wish to report an incident by using any of the above options, you can download a Hate Incident Monitoring Form (pdf) and post it to the following addresses:

You can also go to the Police Scotland Website at www.scotland.police.uk and report any incident direct through the website. There is a secure and confidential link to a Hate Crime Reporting Form, that when completed will go direct the Equalities and Diversity Unit.
